Chapter 22 - The Trust Meeting

Rebecca called a formal trust meeting.
Daniel arrived with an attorney.
Denise came despite being told she was not a beneficiary.
Tyler attended voluntarily.
Evan participated through his lawyer.
Margaret sat at the head of the table.
Rebecca reviewed the exploitation clause.
Daniel’s unauthorized loan application violated it.
The coercive transfer plan violated it again.
The false capacity petition provided additional evidence.
Under the trust terms, Margaret could permanently remove Daniel and his descendants from future lake-property benefits.
Daniel stared at his mother.
“You would cut out your own grandchildren?”
Margaret looked toward Tyler.
“Not every person made the same choices.”
The trust allowed individual decisions.
Tyler had laughed, helped scan records, and remained silent.
But he later preserved evidence and cooperated before being promised anything.
Evan had assaulted her and shown no genuine remorse.

Family name would no longer erase personal responsibility.
