Denise tried to delete the recording.
Rebecca noticed her fingers moving.
“Do not alter the phone.”
“It’s mine.”
“The recording may document an assault.”
Denise turned away.
Tyler spoke quietly.
“It already uploaded.”
Everyone looked at him.
The family phones automatically backed up videos to a shared cloud account.
Tyler had access because Denise often asked him to edit social media clips.
The full video was safe.
Denise’s face lost color.
Rebecca instructed Tyler not to open, edit, or forward it.
Margaret did not want revenge through public humiliation.
She wanted preserved truth.
That distinction mattered.
Evan had expected the camera to protect him by making the incident entertaining.
