Chapter 13 - THE MAN BEHIND THE MESSAGES
Federal technicians traced the burner messages through several foreign servers.
The final connection led to a private office rented by Owen Harrow’s attorney.
Surveillance footage showed Owen entering the office repeatedly.
He had sent the anonymous package.
He had provided Caleb with the edited audio.
He had signed the messages with B to make Caleb believe they came from someone connected to Beatrice.
Owen’s plan was calculated.
Katherine remained the strongest witness in the federal fraud case.
Her control of the memorial trust prevented Owen from recovering hidden assets.
He needed her credibility destroyed.
A public confession would do both.
Caleb’s grief made him useful.
Owen studied his online searches and contacted him through a false investigator.
He guided Caleb toward Katherine.
Encouraged the relationship.
Then pushed him to marry her.
Marriage gave Caleb physical access, financial access, and the emotional power to make Katherine question herself.
Owen expected Caleb to record the wedding-night breakdown.
He planned to release only the most damaging moments.
Katherine crying.

The hidden camera inside the roses transmitted to a receiver in the building across the street.
That was how Owen obtained the photograph during the confrontation.
Police searched the rented office.
They found the receiver, copies of sealed witness records, and payments to former Detective Martin Voss.
Voss had been leaking information for seven years.
He warned Owen whenever investigators approached the old case.
He also supplied the confidential settlement record sent to Caleb.
Owen was arrested while attempting to board a private flight.
Voss was arrested at his home.
Still, Owen’s attorney argued there was no proof he intentionally caused Beatrice’s fall.
Then investigators recovered the missing 911 call from an archived emergency server.
The audio contained a voice that had never been identified publicly.

“Let her go, Katherine,” he said. “She chose this.”
