Daniel claimed he called emergency services as soon as he found Maya.
Phone records proved otherwise.
Maya fell at approximately 8:15 p.m.
Daniel called the family attorney at 8:17.
The conversation lasted three minutes and forty-one seconds.
He called Celeste’s second phone at 8:21.
Only at 8:23 did he call 911.
Six minutes passed.
For an unconscious pregnant woman, six minutes mattered.
A trauma specialist reviewed the medical evidence.
Maya’s head injury was severe but not immediately fatal.
Prompt emergency treatment might have improved her chance of survival.
The baby’s oxygen loss occurred during the delay.
Daniel had stood beside his dying wife while discussing insurance.
Celeste helped wipe the railing and remove the second wineglass.
Then she left through the side door before emergency vehicles arrived.
They forgot her bracelet beneath the stairs.
They missed the red fabric in Maya’s hand.
