Chapter 22 - THE PEOPLE WHO CAME BACK

Rosa Delgado returned to the branch after receiving restitution.

Not because she trusted the bank.

Because she wanted to look at the place that had humiliated her.

Martha met her privately.

Rosa said:

“They listened because you are rich.”

“Yes.”

“What about people without a billionaire son?”

“That is the question.”

Together, they created an independent customer-defense fund.

It paid legal fees for people facing discriminatory banking practices.

Amir Hassan joined the advisory board.

Samuel Price helped design veteran protections.

Marcus attended meetings but did not lead them.

He understood the people harmed should shape the response.

The fund was not controlled by Robinson Meridian.

Martha insisted it remain independent.
