Chapter 12 - The Harbor Assault

Night fell quickly over the quiet city harbor bay.

Cold ocean wind whipped across the dark wooden docks.

Four black Navy SEAL tactical boats glided through water.

Their engines hummed softly in low stealth operational mode.

I stood inside the lead tactical boat wearing Kevlar vest.

My white dress uniform jacket was replaced by black gear.

Commander Miller stood beside me holding an assault rifle.

Ahead of us, the three-story luxury yacht sat idling.

Bright warm lights shone through the upper deck windows.

Armed foreign mercenaries walked the perimeter deck on watch.

They carried submachine guns beneath their leather jackets.

"Team one, take the stern," I commanded into headset.

"Team two, breach the main cabin door on count."

"Capture the data drive before they wipe the server."

Our tactical boat pulled alongside the yacht's hull softly.

SEAL operators threw grappling hooks onto upper deck rail.

They climbed the ropes with fast, silent combat agility.

I boarded the ship right behind the tactical team.

A mercenary spotted us and raised his weapon fast.

Commander Miller fired two suppressed shots straight into chest.

The mercenary collapsed onto the wooden deck without sound.

We rushed down the central hallway toward main cabin.

Inside, a man in a dark suit stood before laptop.

The screen displayed a progress bar at ninety percent.

TOP SECRET SONAR BLUEPRINTS UPLOADING TO SERVER.

"Federal agents! Step away from the computer!" I.

The man turned around, drawing a heavy black pistol.

He fired a wild shot that struck the doorway frame.

Sparks flew as wood splintered into the dark hallway.

I dropped low, drawing my sidearm with lightning speed.

I fired one precise round straight through his shoulder.

The pistol flew from his hand, clattering onto floor.

He fell back against the wall, groaning in pain.

Commander Miller tackled him down, slapping heavy handcuffs on.

I sprinted to the laptop screen immediately tonight.
