The court hearing drew reporters from across the state.
Vivian entered wearing pearls and the same expression she had carried into every charity gala for twenty years.
Ethan arrived separately.
He looked exhausted.

“You have no right to take my family’s home.”
Maya remained calm.

The judge ordered Vivian removed from financial control.
