Gabriel left the property, but he did not go home.
He drove directly to the hospital and found his office untouched.

Gabriel checked the security logs.
A man employed by Cole Meridian had entered the hospital earlier using forged maintenance credentials.
The man had photographed confidential records but had not removed them.

Gabriel reported the breach and contacted a detective he trusted, Lieutenant Marcus Reed.
Marcus listened carefully.
“Does your sister have documentation?”
