Chapter 12 - THE BRIDE WHO WAS ALSO A VICTIM—AND AN ACCOMPLICE

Sabrina believed she would own half of Northcrest after marrying Ethan.

The sale agreement told a different story.

Ethan planned to transfer the $18 million payment into Cole Legacy Holdings.

Sabrina had no ownership in that company.

Her name appeared nowhere.

Victor Hale had prepared a separate document removing her from Northcrest management immediately after the wedding.

Ethan used Sabrina to forge records, access Grace’s medical files, and help stage the storm.

Then he planned to abandon her once the estate was sold.

When Margaret revealed the document, Sabrina stared at Ethan.

“You said we were partners.”

Ethan looked toward the detectives instead of answering.

Sabrina’s shock did not make her innocent.

She had created shell invoices.

She helped forge Grace’s signature.

She stood inside the mountain house while a newborn cried outside.

She had also followed Ethan to the ridge road and driven him back after he staged Grace’s SUV.

Detective Reed arrested Ethan for attempted murder, child endangerment, fraud, conspiracy, forgery, and evidence tampering.

Sabrina was arrested for conspiracy, fraud, child endangerment, and assisting in the staged disappearance.

Victor Hale was detained for financial fraud and preparing the illegal sale.

Ethan struggled as officers placed him in handcuffs.

“Grace set this up!”

Grace held Lily against her heart.

“No. You did.”

Ethan turned toward the guests.

“She was unstable. There’s a medical report.”

Margaret raised the forged psychiatric evaluation.

“The doctor who supposedly wrote this is prepared to testify.”

Ethan stopped fighting.

Sabrina began sobbing.

“I didn’t know he meant to kill them.”

Grace looked at her.

“You watched him lock the door.”

“I thought you would sign!”

“You heard my baby crying.”

Sabrina had no answer.

As officers led her away, she shouted that she could prove Ethan planned everything.

She claimed he had recorded their conversations to protect himself.

The recordings were stored inside a hidden safe in the mountain house.

👉 Sabrina’s attempt to save herself led investigators back to the home where Grace nearly died—and to Ethan’s own voice describing the storm as their “cleanest solution.”
