Marcus’s hidden records filled two encrypted drives.
They contained pharmacy orders, forged medical letters, property drafts and messages between him and Vivian.
He had preserved everything because he never fully trusted her.
The files showed Vivian giving exact instructions.
Increase Richard’s evening dose.
Cancel Isabella’s calls.
Record his confusion.
Move him after the fall.
Prepare the foreign passport.
One message read:
Once he signs the last transfer, Isabella becomes irrelevant.
Another said:
If he does not recover, grief will make the story easier.
Marcus claimed he saved the files because he feared Vivian would blame him.
The prosecutor asked whether that fear stopped him from participating.
“No.”
“Did it stop you from twisting Richard’s broken wrist?”
Marcus lowered his head.
“No.”
“Did it stop you from stealing forty-six million dollars?”
“No.”
“Did it stop you from preparing to remove him from the country?”
“No.”
His cooperation reduced uncertainty.
It did not make him innocent.
Vivian’s attorney tried to portray the messages as fabricated.
Forensic experts authenticated them through server records and device backups.
The physician confirmed Vivian paid him.
Rosa confirmed the medication routine.
Lena confirmed the same pattern with Thomas.
The bank confirmed Vivian intercepted Vault 17 notices for eighteen years.
The false passport, forged deed and overseas transfer connected every part of the plan.
Vivian chose to testify.
She wore white.
She spoke softly.
She said she had devoted her life to difficult men and ungrateful children.
She described Richard as stubborn, confused and cruel.
She called Isabella an abandoned daughter seeking revenge.
The prosecutor showed her the video from the blue room.
“Why did you move Richard to the staircase?”
“To protect him from embarrassment.”
“Why did you tell Marcus the sedatives would explain his death?”
Vivian’s expression remained calm.
“I was frightened.”
The prosecutor played her own voice.
If he doesn’t wake, the sedatives explain everything.
For the first time, Vivian lost control.
She accused Richard of wasting her years.
She shouted that Catherine had ruled the family from the grave.
