Nathan’s criminal trial began nine months later.
He faced charges for conspiracy, wire fraud, identity theft, forgery, obstruction and attempted theft of eighteen million dollars.
Lauren testified for three days.
She described falsified signatures, shell accounts and their plan to use Olivia’s pregnancy against her.
Nathan’s attorney attacked Lauren’s credibility.
She admitted the affair.
She admitted she expected to benefit.
She admitted she lied under oath during the divorce.
Then prosecutors played Nathan’s recordings.
His own voice confirmed every important detail.
The forensic handwriting expert testified that Olivia’s signatures were digitally assembled from four genuine documents.
The hospital logs proved she could not have signed the prenup.
Bank specialists traced the fake Cole trust to EverHome’s own borrowed money.
The county archivist explained how Lauren used a forged authorization to access Olivia’s adoption index.
Finally, Sarah testified about the moment Nathan shouted that Olivia would leave with nothing.
“He believed he had created a person the court could safely disregard,” she said.
Olivia took the stand last.
Nathan watched her enter wearing a dark green suit.
She was no longer eight months pregnant.
No longer homeless.
No longer holding herself upright against a courtroom table.
She spoke about the company she built and the documents he stole.
She described the night outside the locked house.
