Chapter 7 - Savannah’s Hidden Company
Savannah owned a private company called Aurelia Advisory.
Cross Dominion had paid Aurelia more than eighteen million dollars in consulting fees.
The invoices described international marketing campaigns.
Most campaigns did not exist.
Several payments were approved directly by Nathaniel.
Others used digital authorization from Isabella’s inactive household account.
Isabella had never approved them.
Edward’s lawyers traced the money.
Savannah purchased jewelry, a penthouse and a villa in Cabo.
Nathaniel received part of the money through a private investment account.
They were stealing from the company together.
Worse, they had pledged Whitmore-backed developments as collateral.
If the loans failed, Whitmore Global would carry much of the loss.
Edward wanted to freeze everything immediately.
Isabella refused.
“I need proof Nathaniel knew the authorizations were false.”
“The payments came from his office.”
“He’ll blame Savannah.”
“He may blame you.”
“That is why I need the complete chain.”
Edward was angry.
But he understood.
Isabella had spent years being described as decorative and naïve.
If Whitmore Global moved without her evidence, Nathaniel would claim a powerful father destroyed his innocent son-in-law.
Isabella wanted Nathaniel’s own words.
She began recording conversations.
Nathaniel no longer hid his demands.
“You concealed assets,” he said one evening. “The postnup corrects that.”
“My inheritance is not yours.”
“A wife cannot secretly control the investor holding up her husband’s company.”
“You called my father a poor mechanic for years.”
“You allowed me to believe it.”
“You never asked.”
“Because no sane person expects a mechanic to own Whitmore Global.”
Savannah sat nearby, pretending to review documents.
Isabella asked, “Did you use my account to approve Aurelia payments?”
Nathaniel’s eyes narrowed.
“What have you been searching?”
“Answer me.”
He stepped close.
“You will stop questioning company business.”
“It became my business when you used my name.”
Nathaniel lowered his voice.
“Once you sign, nothing before the signature will matter.”
The recorder inside Isabella’s necklace captured every word.
She sent the file to Edward’s attorney.
It proved motive.
But not physical coercion.
The postnup still required Isabella to appear before a notary and confirm that she signed freely.
Nathaniel needed her cooperation.
Savannah suggested creating evidence that Isabella was mentally unstable.
Nathaniel agreed.
