My breath hitched in my throat as realization struck.

"Agent Harris, look at this name," I said.
I showed the journal page to the federal agent.
Agent Harris's face hardened as he read lines.
"Blackwood Enterprises is currently under federal investigation," Harris said.
"They target wealthy elderly estate owners across the country."
"They use family members to extract the inheritance funds."
"Julian was under direct orders from their chief operative."
"Who is their chief operative, Harris?" I asked.
Agent Harris plugged the black drive into his laptop.
The system decrypted the hidden communication files fast today.
An encrypted email thread opened up on blue screen.
The sender's name was listed under covert code:
PHANTOM ASSET OPERATING FROM NEW YORK CITY BRANCH.
Attached to the email was a photograph document file.
The photo showed a woman standing outside bank building.
She wore an expensive cream trench coat and sunglasses.
My blood ran completely ice cold in single second.
