The jury saw Beckett take Claire’s phone.
They heard her ask for shoes.

Beckett was separately convicted of unlawful imprisonment, assault, evidence destruction, and conspiracy to falsify Claire’s medical records.
At sentencing, he addressed Claire.
“I loved you.”
She believed he may have loved the version of her he could control.
That was not enough.
“You loved being believed,” she said. “You hated me when I became evidence against you.”
Beckett received decades in federal prison.
Silas received a sentence that ensured he would never again control the empire he built.
Their companies entered court supervision.
Assets were sold for restitution.
The lakefront mansion was seized because foundation money had financed its renovation.
Claire did not ask for it.
