The copied language came from Martin Shaw, Whitmore Global’s general counsel.
Martin had served the family for twenty years.
He advised Harrison during Claire’s childhood.
He knew the trust structures, emergency properties, and private contact procedures.
Adrian contacted him shortly after marrying Claire.
At first, Martin claimed he wanted to help repair the father-daughter relationship.
Instead, he accepted payments from Adrian and Victor Cole.
He provided copies of old Whitmore legal templates.
He confirmed Claire’s mother had left her a protected trust.
He explained which events would activate it.
Marriage.
Medical incapacity.
Birth of a child.

The trust held company shares worth hundreds of millions.

Martin forwarded Harrison’s attempts to contact Claire.
Adrian used the information to create convincing fake responses.
When Harrison wrote, I will always answer if you call, Adrian sent Claire a forged message saying:
Do not contact me unless you are ready to leave your husband.
When Claire wrote a birthday email but lost courage before sending it, Adrian accessed the draft and deleted it.
He then told Harrison she had changed her number and wanted no contact.
Every bridge had been burned from both sides by the same person.
Claire read the messages while Lily slept against her chest.
“I spent fourteen months thinking he chose pride over me.”
Harrison sat across from her.
“I thought you chose silence.”
Neither had.
Adrian had controlled the channel.
That realization did not erase their earlier conflict.

Harrison resigned temporarily as chairman during the internal review of Martin’s access failures.
Claire objected.
“You didn’t help Adrian.”
