Elise denied everything.
She claimed Daniel deceived her.
She said she believed Claire was forgetful and needed help.
Then investigators searched her apartment.
They found duplicate pharmacy labels.
Empty prescription containers.
A tablet connected to Claire’s patient portal.
And a handwritten schedule tracking Claire’s symptoms after each medication change.
The notes did not resemble medical care.

The USB had saved a local copy before Claire lost consciousness.
The device was found behind a dresser during the search.
Its memory was damaged.
Specialists restored the first additional sentence.
Elise asked:
How long until this dose becomes irreversible?
Daniel answered:
Before her mother can interfere.
The rest remained corrupted.
